The Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame to Get new inductees in September

The Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame, an initiative of Construction Industry Hall of Fame Development Foundation-NGO, designed for the recognition of long standing, legacy driven, outstanding practitioners, organisations and key players in the built environment; Construction, Engineering, Building, Oil and Gas, allied sectors will host the 5th edition of the biennial event on the 27th of September 2019 at the prestigious Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja Lagos .

The event to be chaired by His Royal Highness Engr. Otis Anyaeji, FNSE, PPNSE, FAEng, President, West African Federation of Engineering Organizations (WAFEO), to be co-located with the Construction Industry Development Forum, will feature an interactive forum where knowledgeable professionals will address this year’s theme; “Accelerating Wide-Scale Technology and Innovation Adoption in the Energy Market” and “Implementing Digital Disruption and Capacity Building Effectively in The Built Environment”

Key speakers at the event will include, Engr. IfeOluwa Oyedele, FNSE, Executive Director, Engineering Services, Niger Delta Power Holding Company; Engr. Dan Osim-Asu, FNSE, Honourable Commissioner for Works, Cross River State; Professor Oladele Osibanjo, FNES, President Waste Management Society of Nigeria (WAMASON) and Chairman/CEO, Jawura Environmental Services; Bldr. Bala Kaoje, FNIOB, PPNIOB, PPAPBN; Arc. (Mrs.) Mobolaji Adeniyi, FNIA, 3rd Vice-President, Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) amongst other discussants.

According to Mr. Kenneth Odusola – Stevenson the Chief Executive officer, Century 21 Systems Communications Ltd and National Coordinator of Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame, the host of the event, this year’s induction ceremony which is the 5th Edition, will be preceded by the (Co-located Event)  Construction Technology Development Forum 2019 in the morning hour of 27th  September, 2019, this is to enable the invitees and the public to harnessed relevant information that will be discussed during the event and also to showcase how technology adoption will transform the Africa’s construction and energy sector; from reducing operational costs, to boosting productivity and deliveringpositive gains across all elements of the industry supply-chain. In addition, the event will also be focusing on building on the available innovation digital disruption and transformation and the  impact in the construction and energy industry.  

He further said that nominees for this year’s edition will be led by the Nigeria’s 1st Builder, Bldr. Fatai Ishola Oshikoya, FNIOB, PPNIOB; Engr. Mrs. Olu Maduka, MFR, FNSE, FAEng, immediate past president, Nigerian Academy of Engineering and the first female registered engineer in.  He also assures the industry that this year’s edition will surely surpass the past four editions as it’s the 5th anniversary of the prestigious Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame.

Expected dignitaries to grace the occasion are His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Arc. Namadi Sambo, GCON, former Vice-President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Host Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor, Lagos State among others.

The event is slated to hold at the Banquet Hall, Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, at 9.00am

Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame is organized and managed by Century 21 System Communication Ltd and promoted by Construction and Engineering Digest (CED Magazine), a publication that reports, analyses and promote development in infrastructure, the built environment in Nigeria and the world as related to Africa.
