The minister of water resources Engr. Suleiman H. Adamu, FNSE, FAEng, recently was inducted into the Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame class of 2021. This is recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of Engineering profession in particular, Construction Industry, the Ministry of water resources and the nation in general, as he marks his 6th year in office as honorable Minister.
The induction ceremony which took place at Sheraton Hotels Lagos was witnessed by dignitaries most especially professionals in the built environment in Nigeria. He was ably represented by Mr. Olufemi Odumosu, Managing Director of Ogun-Osun River Basin Authority.
This year’s edition being the sixth in the series witnessed thirteen inductees which comprises of eleven built environment professionals and two corporate inductees; among the inductees includes: H.E. Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor, Lagos State; Engr. Prof. Samson Duna, FNSE, MNIEM, FNICE, FNAEG, DG/CEO, Nigerian Building And Road Research Institute (NBRRI); Engr. Mrs. Aramide Adeyoye, FNSE, FNICE, FNIOB, SA to the Lagos State Governor on Works & Infrastructure; Engr. Suleiman H. Adamu, FNSE, FAEng, Honourable Minister Federal Ministry of Water Resources; Engr. Mustafa B. Shehu, FNSE, FNIEEE, FSESN, FAEng, Executive Vice-President, WFEO; Engr. Dr. Samuel K. The biennial event organized by Century 21 Systems Communications Limited and powered by Construction and Engineering Digest (CED) Magazine, started in 2011 and has contributed to the rich infrastructure history in Nigeria despite the challenges.
