Born in the mid 60’s, Engr. Adisa, A. Bello is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering with renewable energy as his area of interest. He is happily married to Mrs. Hadiza Tijjani-Bello and blessed with children. He speaks English Language, Yoruba and Hausa fluently and a few other Nigerian languages partially.
Prof. A. A. Bello as he is fondly called, attended St Mathew’s Anglican primary school, Kurra Falls, Plateau State; Boys’ Secondary School, Gindiri, Plateau State and the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, where he obtained the B. Eng. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, M. Eng degree in Solid Mechanics and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
Engr. Adisa served in Vandeikya LG under DFRRI during the NYSC in 89/90. He worked briefly with Kim Apex Services in Jos before taking up appointment with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi as a Graduate Assistant in 1991. He rose through the ranks to the present rank of Professor in 2010.

He served the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in several capacities including Director, Centre for Energy Research, the Coordinator of Mechanical/Production Engineering Programme, a University Senate member and a University Governing Council member.
In order to blend theory with practice, in conjunction with some colleagues, Biieeyz Engineering and Associates Limited was formed with the headquarters located in Bauchi. As a principal partner and the MD/CEO he has been overseeing some projects.
He is the Chief Examiner for Bauchi Interview Centre for the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He served the Bauchi branch of NSE in several committees and executive capacities including Public Relations Officer, Technical Committee Chairman and Vice Chairman. He is a pioneer member of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ (NIMechE) Bauchi Chapter and its chairman from 2009 to 2011. He was elected National Deputy Chairman of the NIMechE in 2011. He is currently serving as the National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). It is his desire to see a self sustaining institution and a rallying point for all Mechanical Engineers in Nigeria.
He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers(FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, (FNIMechE), Member American Society of Mechanical Engineers (MASME), Member of the Nigerian Institution of Engineering Management (MNIEM), Member of Solar Energy Society of Nigeria MSESN), Member of the Automotive Engineers Institute (MAutoEI) and Member of Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM). He was registered as a Mechanical Engineer by COREN in 1999.
Engr. Prof. Adisa has supervised to completion many B. Eng projects, Postgraduate Diploma theses, M. Eng thesis and two PhD dissertations. He had to his credit, eight Technical Reports, thirty two published Technical Papers (Local and International), over twenty five conference/seminar papers and ten Public Lectures. He has attended many workshops, conferences and seminars.
He has served as a Mechanical Consultant on many projects including the Yankari Resort and Safari Project (Bauchi State Government) and the extension of the casualty and emergency wing of ATBU Teaching Hospital. He was part of the team that won the second best prize in the first RMRDC’s “National Competition on Design of Process Equipment and Plants” in 2005. He was also a member of the design team for the “Cassava Pelletizing Equipment” commissioned by RMRDC.
He is currently serving as a postgraduate external examiner to the Mechanical Engineering Departments of some Nigerian Universities. He is an Editorial Board member of the Journal of NIMechE, Journal of Tropical Engineering and The Bauchi Mechanical Engineer. He is a reviewer for some scholarly journals. Indeed he was listed in the International WHO’S WHO Historical Society 2011-2012 as a Professional Educator and 2012 – 2013 Intercontinental Registry of Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals. He was honoured in 2012 by the Construction and Engineering Digest (CED) FORUM with the Professional Service Award of excellence (Engineering Practice).
