The inaugural edition of the Construction Industry Hall of Fame, held at the Federal Capital Territory,Abuja, was a watershed in the annals of the industry, what with the status and caliber of the inductees and the special guestof honour. In attendance were Arc. Namadi Sambo, GCON, Vice-President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, represented by Ms. Ama Pepple, Honourable Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Mohammed Sada, Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development, including chairmen and presidents of various professional bodies and institutions from across relevant sectors.
As part of the inauguration, a highly interactive session preceded the decoration of the inductees, following “Hallmarks and Progress in Nigeria’s Construction Industry” by Prof. Kunle Ade-Wahab, former Special Adviser to former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, and former head of the Due Process Office, now Bureau of Public Procurement.
